Two connected groups with a shared purpose: supporting Lexington families and improving the experience of students with disabilities and special education needs.
LexSEPAC
Lexington Special Education Parent Advisory Council
LexSEPAC brings families’ perspectives to Lexington Public Schools. Parent representatives meet with district leadership to share concerns, ask questions, and provide input on special education programs.
Its focus: school- and program-level issues, including the planning, development, and evaluation of services for students with disabilities.
LexSEPTA
Lexington Special Education Parent Teacher Association
LexSEPTA is a volunteer-run organization that supports LexSEPAC and helps families connect with one another. It brings parents together through speaker events, workshops, and social gatherings.
Its focus: parent education, community connections, and opportunities to learn from and support other families.

Whether you’re new to special education or have been navigating services for years, connecting with other parents can help. LexSEPTA membership connects you with information and families who understand the questions that come with special education and accommodation plans.
Attend a LexSEPAC meeting
LexSEPAC business meetings are public and open to everyone. Meetings take place every other month during the school year, with dates posted on the Town calendar and meeting minutes posted publicly following each meeting.
These meetings offer an opportunity to hear about school- and program-level issues and the concerns being shared with LPS administration.
